Location of the Arkell Centre
Directions, Buses and Parking
We all need to do our bit to for the environment and the Arkell Community Centre Charity and Nailsworth Town Council are pledged to limit the environmental impact of activities in our buildings. We hope users of the Centre will walk, cycle, bus or car share as much as possible.
For those using a Sat Nav the postcode is GL6 0ET
The Centre is currently served by the number 63 Stagecoach service with the last bus to the Centre going via Nailsworth Bus Station being 19.26. The buses are half hourly.
There are two disabled parking spaces and one regular parking space at the Centre and a cycle rack as well as a space for a motor cycle.
There are over 50 spaces on the street within 100 metres, up the hill along the main road and in the residential roads opposite, without blocking anyone’s drive or contravening traffic regulations. Please don’t park in Beechwood Close itself.
For bookings where you anticipate a large number of visitors by car, we encourage the use of the lockable school car parks 100 metres up the hill (accommodating 20 and 40 cars) available outside school hours, in the evenings and at weekends, by arrangement with Nailsworth Recreation Centre or telephoning 01453 834822.
The school parking is not available for users of the Arkell Community Centre on Forest Green Rovers match days. The Centre is located within the Match Day Parking Scheme, we therefore advise that if you expect people to arrive by car, you check the FGR web site for match information (usually Saturdays and Tuesday evenings).
